I've lived here a couple of years and overall it's the best apartment complex I've lived in. It's generally quiet although (like all apartments) this depends on your neighbors. The apartments are nice for the price and the onsite security officer is awesome. The parking garage is a plus - especially nice when there is bad weather. Anytime something breaks (which is rare) maintenance is pretty quick to fix it and very professional. The corridors can be spooky at first, but I feel very safe here.
The cons are... staff is pretty aloof and will occasionally make a decision without consideration to residents - like closing the pool with no notice for cleaning (bad if you've made plans). There's no way to access the after hours drop box from the front without walking through mud (I'm thinking of donating some stepping stones) and the weekend staff knows nothing about the apartments (don't even ask them). They sometimes send out random notices chastising the residents like children which can be a little insulting.
Not that I care about the gate, but it's worked a total of 3 days since I've lived here. The one time I've needed to use my gate opener I learned it didn't work (frustrating when it's 7pm and you're trying to get home). The bad thing is, they fix it randomly and folks get mad (because they can't get in) so they break it. It would be a good idea for them to invest in a stronger gate. Otherwise, just stop and take it off the menu.
All of these cons are small, but can be annoying. Still - overall.... you'll never find any place that's perfect. For the money, this is a good place to live.
