Be aware that an email was sent out in January of 2021 telling residence if they go on social media and give positives reviews for the property/staff that they will be entered into a quarterly drawing to receive a $300.00 American Express Card. Drawing will be held January 2, 2022 Hence all the positive reviews. The complex was better when Jessica, Kiotti, and Mike were here. This complex doesn't seem to be able to keep their office staff. The two maintenance men seem to run the complex. Since everyone is new in the office no one is paying attention. Just beware and read the negative reviews as well. Won't be renewing the lease.

1. I was just told 2 different stories from neighbors that MAINTENANCE is telling residents about other residents. I was appalled at what I heard. It’s not only unprofessional - but dangerous. Nothing told to them or the office staff is confidential. What was said about me was NOT true, and was told to other residents. (I found out because a neighbor asked me something) They gossip. Do not tell either maintence men ANYTHING because others will know. They have also been inappropriate to several women on this property. WOMEN, USE CAUTION, especially when alone. 2. The manager literally does not care. I’m not sure who Harbor Group thinks is capable of being a property manager. My 2 year old niece could do a better job and be more pleasant. It was fine when the prior manager was here. 3. Just keep to yourself if you move here. Do not share anything. ***Women, use caution and be sure someone knows if they are with you at any time.**** 4. Harbor Group needs to do something with this property because it’s going downhill fast. It’s not what it was; even last year. We need people here that are professional. That care. That don’t make women feel uncomfortable. That don’t tell other residents about another. 5. If they respond to this with an, “I’m sorry call us to resolveâ€ response... I won’t. Why? Because they don’t return calls and would tell my neighbors about it.

On April 19th my car was towed from an unmarked parking lot along with other residents. Per the internet Carmel has 228 apartments and per my count 292 parking spaces on which they were trying to perform maintenance on more than 40% of the spaces leaving less than 1 space per apartment. On May 3rd they doubled up on pulling rent which brought the bank account negative. Folks in the office said that it could apply to next month’s rent. Neither of these have been resolved as of this post. Parking lot flyer attached

I thought it was great with Kurt, Kiotti, and Jessica. Now? NOT impressed. They don’t care, won’t get back to you, and I’m disappointed in this new team. It’s like night and day. You feel like a burden to them. Or you get an exasperated sigh.

As a current resident, i am more than happy to share my honest opinion about the living experience here at Carmel at Deerfield. 1. This is the best bang for your buck. My wife, and i hired an apartment locator needless to say we looked at plenty of apartments. This place is affordable! We are happy with our rent payment. 2. The staff has your back. I am thankful for Kurt and his team. They are always nice and responsive. 3. Location is everything. There is not a lot of apartments near by. There is plenty of trees which we like. Our daughter goes to a good school. 4. Other stuff for the record. Parking isnt terrible like we have experienced before. There is a huge dog park. They are always working to make changes for the better which we appreciate. If you have experience renting apartments, you will appreciate this property, as well as the staff. - Resident in building 1

My favorite part is the AMAZING staff! They help you with everything you need, respond quickly, and tell you everything you need to know. They do a well job at keeping the community safe and clean, and people/pet friendly! It's honestly a family here. I felt welcomed the moment I picked up my key!

Beautiful Oaks welcome you as you enter the grounds of Carmel at Deerfield. They bow in greeting of your arrival... There is something very special about this property that is found only here... Earthy with our own forest at the entrance and a really great dog park! Our office staff new manager Kurt Gilpin, assistant manager Kiotti and leasing agent Jessica.. greet you with big smiles making you feel welcome.. And they mean every smile... Head maintenance Tony ( very nice) is no stranger to Carmel at Deerfield having been here several years and new maintenance Shorty ( I call him Sunny because he smiles so much) our maintenance staff are quick to fix any problem for you so you are all set.. Neighbors are very friendly while still respecting privacy.. Apartments are warm and cozy while at the same time have tons of storage space!! Every apartment has a patio for decorative plants! Plus we have a really nice gym for workouts! You will feel like family at Carmel. I have lived here 6 years and guess what? I still have a lot of the same neighbors who were here when I moved to Carmel.. Honestly the staff we have now, both office and maintenance are the best ever

My name is Alejandra I've been living here since September and I love it. All of my neighbours are super awesome and really nice The grounds are also very well kept and they are now renovating the whole apartment complex as well as a fitness center and are making the tennis court area multipurpose activity area. They also have to many pricing plans to fit with your budget. Perfect if you have little ones.

My name is Hector. This is my 4th apartment in sna Antonio and ive never been happier! Not sure how i wouldve handle this pandemic if i wasnt in this little bubble i call my home. Location is great and my dogs love the spacious dog park. Walking distance from walgreens and whataburger among other food spots (and Fizz a dope --- dive bar) in the shopping center. My lease is about to be up for the second time and i wont even hesitate renewing. Also shout out to new management. Kiotti always has a quick response whenever i need her and we've gotten notifications of big changes coming next year to our amenities! So many trees around and the cabin in the woods vibe always gets compliments from my guests. We have laundromat which is also a plus.

It's a quiet well kept place. There are plenty of trees, which I love and it has easy access to Hardberger park, major freeways and shopping centers. Staff has always been available when I need assistance or maintenance.

This is to give recognition to Kurt Gilpin, our new property manager. Since Kurt has been here he has been hands on and involved with the concerns of the Carmel at Deerfield community. His presence here actually has me considering to remain a resident of this community.

Terrible, took over a month to get working water in our bathroom, roaches are insane, and they don't keep up with any maintenance so I'm not surprised by the amount of roaches, the trash is always overflown, they leased us our apartment without doing the repairs first and still have yet to do any even tho it was all noted and accounted for

Honestly, the only reason I like being here is for Jessica and Kiotti. They are wonderful in the office and truly care about me and my concerns. I just wish the management company itself would change a few things: get better a/c units that at least run below 82 when it's hot out, and more pest control. I know that is hard to do when there's a pandemic. I do understand the buildings are older. I've been here 4 years and I do love my little apartment; but it's been a bit stressful lately with some doings by the management company. I really do like my fabulous tree outside my window and the many trees in the background. I moved here directly after a traumatic divorce and haven't left since. I just feel like my apartment is my little bubble. Maybe over time I could get newer, cleaner appliances. I love the Stranger Things 80s Vibe, but only to a point. :)

This is an awful community. I got in with no deposit and that should've spoke to me. I moved in on October of 2019, by March/April of 2020 my apartment was infested with roaches and my complex refuses to do anything further than what has been done. They've had pest control enter my apartment (that's been vacant since the roaches infested) and do a very serious treatment that helped but didn't do nearly enough. I walked in yesterday to find this huddle of roaches in every corner of my apartment. And according to management this is not terms for me to be able to leave my lease without paying a ridiculous amount of 1300.00 even though I only have 2 months left. DO NOT STAY HERE. It's gorgeous, management is nice, and my neighbors were awesome, but they have a pest control company come out every Wednesday to knock out a list of apartments with roaches. This is a problem throughout the complex that the complex is neglecting to fix permanently. The apartment was poorly put together with plenty of holes and spaces for the roaches to live, so as soon as it got hot, they came out and in the hundreds. Unless you'd like to live in a real life nightmare I suggest you live elsewhere.

As a prospective resident who wanted to move into these apartments, my experience trying into get into one was the worst. Don't get me wrong, ----- is incredibly professional and extremely nice, but it seemed like no matter what he was not interested in getting me into the apartment I needed. What happened was that I first looked here back in July when I needed an apartment and I was looking at the A1 since that was the cheapest and the one I really needed. He unfortunately didn't have one in the time available. When I was looking for an apartment again in November, he unfortunately didn't have one but I gave him my information and he texted me telling me there was an apartment available. One big problem I had was the one-sided communication I had with him. After showing incredible interest to the apartment telling him I needed it by the 21st of December, all he was able to show me was one of the other models. The biggest problem I had with this whole process is that for an expensive looking complex, there were no model apartments whatsoever, and I wanted to look at the A1 before signing anything, and he told me once the apartment was cleaned up after the tenants moved out, I could view it. Unfortunately, one of the tenants apartments had flooded and they had temporarily moved said tenant to the apartment I wanted to view, and he told me he would get back to me, even though I told him I had to be moved in by December 21st. That was over a week and a half ago, and even after finding my own apartment, which I never told him about, he still never got back to me. Overall, the one-sided communication and seemingly lack of interest in actually getting me into the apartment is what turned me off especially considering I wanted to move into the apartment, but fortunately the lovely people at the Winston Apartments were able to show me the apartment I needed the same day and I signed the lease. If you're expecting to move in here, don't expect much communication from the staff because I rarely got it, and frankly, after viewing the apartments, I would most likely view somewhere else because they weren't worth as much as they were asking for in rent.

Came and visited and was told to come back in a few days. Came back had a weird experience with a lady with long brown hair. I couldn't tell if she was the manager. No one sat us down or took our dr. license or even wrote down our names. She then began to bark out orders on where to go. " Go out, turn right. Keep going, I'll catch up. Turn right..." It was really weird and unprofessional. The apartment was roomy, but old. There was absolutely no updating in the kitchen which looked like the 1950s. No one showed amenities like the pool. We were basically dismissed in the unit. I can't believe this is a Greystar complex. I don't know what I walked in on, but it was far from welcoming.

I was very dissatisfied with this apartment complex. When I lived there I had an incident where ny stove was on full blast when I arrived home. My vehicle was vandalized by maintenance man and he made arrogant threats. I gave them a bad rating for these incudents and they retaliated with threats. I was also charged for q carpet when I professionally cleaned it twice. They also kept my entire pet deposit of $600 and told me ut was non refundable...? Normally $200 pet fee us non refundable....My lease did nit state these terms. Yet my bill fir $571 went to collection and I am nit abke to rent anywhere until I pay it. My job income was cut in half by Uber and have not been able to attend to this rip off..... They should be taken to court and for vansalism and attempted murder with the stove incident should nit be working there..... They were more intent on joining trafficking rings and care about the residents. They are not right. I would not recommend this property at all.... Also spiders everywhere....

I recently visited Carmel at Deerfield because I heard they had the best customer service and was a great place to live! I spoke with Roxann and she made me feel at home instantly. She walked me though the process with ease! This will be my next home!

I moved to San Antonio in July of 2016 and I am grateful to have found this apartment complex. I love living here. The staff is friendly and communicative, the maintenance is always quick and thorough, and my unit is quiet with no noise from neighbors. But most of all, I absolutely love my apartment unit. It is spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. I work from home and wanted to find a place that I would be happy in all day. This is it! I'm always proud of the looks of the apartment when people come to visit. You cannot beat this location - it's a lovely area of town and feels quite safe.
