Montfair at The Woodlands Apartments
Resident · 2016 - 2017
I had problems with management from the get-go - lost paperwork, coming into my apartment while I'm at work to "check for fire extinguishers", etc. My work schedule is busy and hectic and the office is only open during the times most 9-5 people are at work. Then, they go and glue the night drop box shut so no one can drop off their rent check after hours anymore. I went out of town for the weekend to watch my Aunt's kids while she spread my Uncle's ashes and the friend I left in charge of dropping off my rent check forgot to. I go in four days after rent was due to explain what had happened and the lady in the front office just looked at me and said "When you write the new check, here's the updated total with the late fees included". AND THEN, they go and lose my dog's Emotional Support Dog paperwork for my PTSD and try to charge me the $300 nonrefundable pet deposit three months after giving them all of his information! And if you are coming home after 8 p.m., forget about finding a parking spot even remotely close to your building. Motorcycle drivers will park their bikes in actual parking spots instead of the cross-lined sections leaving us who actually need those spots out of luck! I've met some awesome neighbors here and I've never once had an issue with anyone damaging my car in the parking lot, but a poor management staff is enough to make me leave. It's a shame, too, as it is one of the safest apartments I've ever lived in.
