I have lived here for almost a year. The apartment is reasonably nice. It's clearly an older place that has had some remodeling work done. The carpet is, unfortunately, quite old. The kitchen has new appliances, but they are laid out very poorly (for instance, the dishwasher, when open, prevents you from reaching the sink and the cabinets above counter level). The kitchen is also extremely small, with only one full-sized drawer!
The flooring in the bathroom and kitchen is a type of vinyl. It looks nice, but is EXTREMELY slippery if it is even the least bit wet (I fell and injured myself badly a week after moving in).
Some of the buildings appear to have serious plumbing issues; water is frequently off for an entire day while something is fixed. There are also some electrical issues.
Parking is tight. Management would do well to assign a parking place to each apartment. Apartments which are occupied by those having more than one vehicle would have plenty of parking further away from the buildings along Sanger, but each apartment should be assigned ONE parking place reasonably close by.
The thing I dislike most about this complex, however, is their complete disregard for the privacy of tenants. Tenants are supposed to receive 24 hours notice in advance of someone entering the apartment for maintenance or other purposes. That literally NEVER happens. They also do not leave notice that someone has been in the apartment; they've let my dog out at least twice, although fortunately I have been able to recover him both times as soon as he got hungry). This sort of privacy intrusion is completely uncalled-for, and is in violation of the lease. Someone needs to explain to the management that the lease cuts both ways.
There is very little in the way of courtesy toward tenants by management. We are treated as annoyances, not as the reason they have jobs. The do not seem to comprehend that for us, the tenants, this is not a job - this is (at least for the moment) our HOME.
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this apartment complex to anyone. For the same money, or slightly more, you can find a much better place elsewhere in town.
