Village on Main Street

The new Management that started in the last year has not been very positive for me or my roommates. This place seems to be going downhill from where it was. I originally posted a 5 star review but after a few experiences I decided to edit it down to two stars...I can't give it 1 star because it did start out pretty great but after living here 4 years I can say without hesitation that we will not be renewing our lease due to the last 9 months or so. It really is small things but they seem to add up. Raising the price of lockout assistance then completely removing the service, tacking on additional fees (late fee is $50 but now they actually charge you $75 so that they can tape an embarrassing "Three day notice to pay or vacate" sign visibly on your door rather than a late notice folded discretely by the door handle where it wouldn't be missed by the resident but not visible to EVERYONE walking down the halls), management does not address issues like noise violations after MULTIPLE complaints in a timely manner, when the management was confronted on falsely swearing and attesting to an affidavit under criminal penalty they refused to take any action to right the situation before consulting with attorneys (after consulting with their attorneys they stipulated that they needed to refund the fee). These are expensive apartments and they are pretty nice, but I guess the best way to explain it is that it seems that the Management does not care about the tenants and while rent keeps going up year to year and lease to lease, the hospitality of this establishment is going down. I really hope they turn it around because at one point this place was pretty great.
