Windgate apartments are ok, but there really isn't anything special about it. I live in a one bedroom 1 bath on the third floor, which means I do not have a porch, but I do have extra room in the living area. Some of the apartments have washer/dryer hooks up, mine does not, which is really annoying. You either have to use the on-site laundry facilities, laundromat or a lovely friend/family member, that will let you use theirs. The water heater and the furnace take up a huge amount of space, so there is no storage. The ac has never worked, so in the summer it gets very hot and uncomfortable. I have requested numerous times to have it fixed, and they haven't done it yet. The appliances are not new, they are old so don't expect them to work like new. I believe the complex was built in the 70's, and were probably updated in the 90's. Parking is horrible, not all the residents can get an assigned cover stall. And the additional parking around the buildings is very limited. If you are not home from work by 6, you will be parking on the street. The complex is right by two main roads in Bountiful, so you can always hear the cars driving by. One positive about living on main street though, plows come by about every 5 minutes to plow main street, so you just have to worry about how you're going to get out of the complex's parking lot. Don't believe the rent that you are quoted, they like to add many extra fees on top of what the rent is. So whatever they quote you, add $150-200 on top of that. I have enjoyed the large living area, it's big enough that you can make it into a den/living room (which I have done). Because I live on the third floor I do have cathedral ceilings, which has been nice. And because the Bountiful cemetery isn't that far away, you do get the occasional spotting of wildlife. I can't count the amount of times I've seen deer on the complex. I think this is a good place for singles who are just starting out, but not for couples or families.
