I lived in Thorneberry for 10 years. At first the apartments and grounds were well maintained. After going through a bunch of management changes, the place has definitely gone downhill. I moved out at the end of August and even after checking with the office for a check out sheet and to make sure I had done everything else that needs to be done, today I got a letter saying not only was I not getting my deposit back but I owed them $165 more for rent I hadn't paid, cleaning and carpet replacement. What the heck? I had paid my rent on line so I knew that was taken care of, I paid cleaners over $200 to do a move out cleaning and there were no holes in my carpet when I left. There was a small stain on the carpet but I had lived there for 3 years and had been asking to have the carpet cleaned again. Out of the $400 deposit, they automatically keep $125 for something--cleaning? carpet? Who knows. Now they're keeping the whole thing and demanding more money. Stay away unless you have money to throw away. This place is a joke.
