Resident 2010 - 2011

2/23/2011

The social atmosphere here is nice and new management is much nicer than the old, but there are several problems I'll just list for you (I live at Raintree currently) - Cleaning checks. They're every month, which is fine, but they expect it to be cleaner than when you first moved in! One cleaning check lady got on me about scrubbing a spot on the inside of the oven, but it has been there since before I moved in and she has let it go unnoticed until now. - Parking. Parking is very difficult, and most people end up having to park in the far back. Many people I know have gotten their cars broken into. - The overall age of the apartments. These apartments are fairly old, and you can tell. The carpet is peeling in areas, the cabinets are old, the stove/oven is really out of date, and the pantry is ridiculously small. Also, I'm 5'6" and the showerhead in the bathroom hits the back of my head. There are also several upsides though that keep me living here: - It's furnished. Many apartments just got new couches too, which are very nice. - Noise level. I live on the third floor, but noise has never been an issue for me. - Good wards/social atmosphere. I don't attend the ward here, but all of my roommates say the wards here are great. - Location. I've visited many apartments in Provo/Orem, and this is definitely one of the safest. It's on a good side of town and it's far enough away from the streets. There's ups and downs to Raintree. Overall, I would recommend it. There are many things I dislike, but there are also positives.
