Resident 2015 - 2017

8/26/2017

!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!Take Heed!!!! We have been dealing with the most uncaring, unresponsive, and manipulative property that we've ever experienced. To begin, we went to the office 1 month prior to the 2 month notice to vacate that is demanded to find out what the rent was going to do so that we could decide whether to seek residency elsewhere. The guy in the office said that since we were in a non-renovated unit, our rent would not increase. I asked for that in writing, which he did. We allowed the 2 month notice deadline to pass and when it came time to renew the lease, we were informed that the rent and other charges were going up. We presented them with the signed written response from the employee that was given to us 3 months before and they said that the employee did not have the authority to make such a claim. Whatever they could raise, they did raise. We were now forced to renew or else pay damages pursuant to the effective lease at the time. I have asked every month to have the air filter changed, and the office always said that they will put in the order and maintenance will take care of it. I found only 2 months ago, after residing here for over 2 years, that the filter had not been changed in over a year. When I finally saw the maintenance guy remove the old filter when an inspection notice was put on all of our doors, I saw the most disgustingly clogged air filter that I'd ever seen. I said to the maintenance guy, "Dude, that thing hasn't been changed in forever.", to which he replied while giggling, "Yeah we never do. We're too busy to do that." I was shocked. We are currently going through a terrible situation where a flood from a fitting on the toilet breaking has created a terrible situation. I am copying and pasting the final email that I sent them last night that is 13 days after the flood. Not enough room is given on this review to explain, in detail, what we have been going through. I am pasting the last email that I sent just yesterday to the office regarding our situation: "D 7:13 PM (16 hours ago) to AM Ok. We have a major problem here. I complained vividly about the previous carpet cleaners not performing their duties to even nearly an acceptable result and complained of how unprofessional the guy was. I requested a different, more respectable company to come in and do the job that the previous company failed to do. I spent all morning clearing out and vacuuming the bedroom so that the respectable company could come in and redo the job that should have been done 2 weeks ago. What do you people do? You send THE SAME (expletive) CREW HERE. They came in, "dry vacuumed" the carpet, which I had already done before their arrival, expecting the NEW DIFFERENT COMPANY to come in and work whatever magic that was promised by the assistant manager, that was apparently dismissed from employment last Friday, could be performed to remove the damn odor. After they vacuumed the already vacuumed carpet, they sprayed some perfume on the carpet and then left. They were in my dwelling for, at most, 7 minutes. You people have gotten on my last nerve. I will be seeking legal advice on what my options are. My wife just walked in the door and immediately stated that she still smelled the same odor as we have for the past 2 weeks. I am not giving a care one anymore about being cordial with an entity that has done nothing but prove that it does not give a rat's (expletive) about the conditions it has its tenants living in. I was extremely accommodating and patient with you only to be given the finger in a roundabout way. More evidence of the lack of concern for the tenants. I requested time and time again to have the air filter changed each month only to find, when observing your pathetic inspection, when your maintenance guy came the day before to change the filter, that the filter being removed had obviously not been replaced in over a year. I do not see you people believing that you have any obligation to appease the tenants in this horribly managed property. You have us under an obligation to fulfill a lease term, and as such, you are under an obligation to keep the dwelling liveable and in a condition that would not be offensive to any of our senses. You are now on notice that this final act on your part has resulted in a lack of trust, respect, and care about any of you. Take this email any way you wish, and while your at it, shove it up your you know what and then pull it out and smell it for over 2 weeks straight and continuing until a satisfactory resolution is made. Disrespectfully, An extremely angry and offended resident of one of the worst properties that has ever been licensed to provide a residency to the public." If anyone is even contemplating leasing from this company, you need your head examined, as I do now. By the way, giving 1 star is giving 1 star too many.
