Have lived here for a year and a half with no complaints. The staff can sometime be a little offput but I think thats more from the people they sometimes have to deal with. They have always been polite and helpful with me. The building is a little old but well built and the recent apartments renovations have been great. I've seen some pretty bad things mentioned about the Calvert but while some of its true, especially about the heating/AC, most are from a single bad experience or just flamers who got evicted. The problems that do exist are not unusual or very bad so they can easily be lived with. I have lived all over the country and while I've seen better, you definitely pay more for it. For this area and what I've seen, the Calvert is one of the best deals you can find. If your a stuck-up racist then maybe this ain't the right place but I like the diversity. Everyone from white collar to day labor and everyone I've met have been good people.

My overall impression: This isn't the Ritz and your not going to be pampered but the view is great and the apartments are very spacious for the price. I have to commute 50 miles each day to Maryland but have no plans to move out anytime soon.
