Presidential Greens Apartments

I've been here for about a month and a half now, and I have no serious complaints. It was clean upon move-in, my neighbors are pretty quiet, and having lived in a tiny studio in DC for the past 3 years, I'm loving the space and the price. The grounds are kept clean and there's an organic market within walking distance, woo hoo! Haven't had any problems with mice or bugs, though this may be down to my two cats? I will say that the utility situation is pretty crazy - why should I pay the same amount as the family of 10 living downstairs? They do a good job of quickly glossing over this issue during the rental process (Maria is VERY good at her job!) Also, the laundry rooms tend to smell like wet dog, and a good half of the dryers don't seem to work (though some helpful resident keeps writing "no seca" on the ones that are broken). Parking: there always seems to be enough space, but it sucks that you can't have anyone just drop by. I've ended up just purchasing a monthly parking pass for guests ($30/mo). I was told that parking is STRICTLY enforced (though I've yet to see one tow truck). Overall, it's a good deal. I particularly like the 1940's style bathrooms (deep tub!) and the renovated kitchen. Can't see any reason to move anytime soon.
