Presidential Greens Apartments

I would write a longer review, but I don't want to get myself worked up. This place has been a learning experience to say the least. Firstly, this is a ------ area and a poor area. Expect a different type of culture. This means trash thrown everywhere without care to the environment, people standing outside all day doing nothing, people leaning on your car, 8-10 people in one apartment, loud music, and vagabonds sleeping in the hallway. The laundry area is disgusting. People take the lint out of the dryer and simply throw it on the floor. This is why we can't have nice things! Dryers that say "no seca" (doesn't dry). The heating and air-conditioning is averaged between apartments. What I mean is that, inasmuch as these are old apartments converted from hotels, they don't have meters on the individual apartment. This means they average the total usage. This means your apartment is averaged with the 8-10 -------- living next door. This I don't mind because I just crank up the gas without regard. The staff is ok, I like -----. In person is okay, but when I've had to call they're pretty clueless. Maintenance is decent. It would be better if you spoke Spanish, it's the lingua franca here. I have no problem with that. It's the filthy people who live here. Smashed beer bottles, broken glass, and kids playing all around it. At least the kids play outside in this neighborhood (they're mouths are just as dirty though, it's pretty weird hearing 8 year olds dropping F bombs). Yes, and mice. Haven't experienced roaches. Make sure to have a clean apartment. I've killed 4 mice in my 14 months here. The mice problem fluctuates. I consider it a challenge, and it's kind of like hunting, so this I don't mind. Beware of switching apartments like AN mentioned. If the other person doesn't pay the month they're leaving, they will stick all charges on you! Almost happened to me.
