All-in-all, this place is a dump.

My biggest complaint has to be the fact that this place is a minefield of piles of dog crap. We own 2 dogs (and have for over 10 years), so we've always lived in places where there are lots of dogs. Never have I seen a bigger bunch of slobs than the residents here. Management has plenty of bag dispensers in the complex, and does a very good job keeping them full. It's just that the slobs here won't pick up. Both of my dogs have been getting sick this year from worms, and that has a lot to do with the dog crap all over.

On the positive side:

I have nothing but nice things to say about the office staff. They have always been friendly and helpful. But then again, they don't seem willing to do much about the dogs running around off leash or people not picking up (I complained numerous times, and stopped when I was told that they have to see it to do something).

There seems to be some effort to improve some of the apartments--putting in new A/C units and washer/dryers.

Other complaints include:

The apartments are poorly constructed. Everytime I step into the tub, I feel as if I am going to go through it (and I weigh less than 200 lbs.). Noise levels from upstairs are worse than they were in my dorm room in college.

The grounds are deteriorating. Many of the grassy areas are going bare and not being replanted, so everytive it rains, there are rivulets of mud that you cannot help but track into your apartment and car.

Lights were installed throughout the complex for safety. many of those lights in the back of the complex no longer work, and have not been fixed in months.

The towing policy is ridiculous. You need to have a hangtag or guest pass or they will tow you. There's no reason for this--there's nothing close to here that would make someone want to park here other than having business in this complex.

Rents are increasing dramatically, and better deals in this area can be found on Craigslist.

If you work in DC, you're best advised to look elsewhere because you'll have at least an hour commute each way.

They recently replaced the maintenance staff, and it seems like they have fewer workers now and they're not as friendly as the previous crew. I cannot say much for their competence as I've not used them before.
