I have lived at S.F. for almost 5 years. The first 6 months were fine but it has steadily declined. Aside from the secrecy and outright shadiness of this renovation and rehabilitation project, this property and the management of it is horrible (i.e. giving some residents notice to vacate due to renovations while renting same apt. to new resident, not answering questions about renovation nor when they will be done, etc.) My almost 10 year old car has been broken into not once but TWICE during the time I have lived here. The residents nor the management take any effort to keep the area clean. There are mounds of trash outside the dumpster (which we just got in the past year, used to have a trash room which was also for storage and laundry) on any given day. Residents open mailboxes and drop trash on ground. There are beer bottles and trash in the hallways. Maintenance and parking are non-existent. The parking policy changes with the breeze and for the most part you are not allowed to have guests after 11pm or they will be towed. The City has removed nearby off street parking so prepare yourself for hassling with rental office staff to get the coveted guest parking pass (be prepared to show registration for your guests car). The utilities are often "off for repair" often times without notice. There are cracks in walls and ceilings. This property is a nightmare. Initially I moved in because of location, size and price. I am desperately searching for housing as I type. Do yourseleves a favor and steer clear.
