I had a great time living here. It's right next to the metro and ballston and clarendon are both short walks away. However, I was dismayed after I got my renewal letter. They increased my rent by a couple hundred dollars even though the economy was bad. I thought since I had lived there already I would get a reasonable increase, but management will tell you that they price each apartment based on the current market trends, and some other stuff. I didn't like the experience of checking the rates everyday on the computer and hoping they went down to something I could still afford. It made the whole experience feel very impersonal, since management is not willing to negotiate, and that the company did not appreciate my business. I will likely avoid renting from Archstone in the future so I don t have to go through that stressful renewal period again.
