The most obvious perk about living here is the location - right in the middle of the hot area of Clarendon with everything within walking distance. The apartments themselves are pretty nice - they are new, but some amenities are surprisingly missing. Not that there is really a need, but there are no alarm systems in the units, which is pretty strange for newer buildings. No handicapped doors to get in to the lobby, which along with seeming like a violation of law, also makes it difficult to get in and out when toting luggage or large packages.

As for the concierge staff, a few of the employees are outright rude and unprofessional. The main concierge is a pleasure to deal with, unless they lose your package, and he then has no interest in even speaking to you or trying to solve the situation. The concierge staff and the management staff are run by separate companies, and that makes accountability to residents a bit of a problem. The management staff is all very friendly and easy to interract with, but unfortunately are not entirely competent in getting things done on time. I find I often have to call and ask for things to be done again after receiving promises that they will be taken care of, including maintenance requests. The maintenance staff themselves are incredibly helpful and nice to deal with though - as long as they receive the information about your maintenance problem, they take care of it quickly.

To sum up, the location is unbeatable, the concierge and management staff leave much to be desired but are not that much worse than the norm in this area, and maintenance staff is very competent and helpful. Apartments are constructed well and I can rarely hear anything from my neighbors. Rent is very expensive, and worth it if you have a terrace or other unique apartment, but not for a regular apartment without a balcony. Amenities such as a nice fitness center, pool, consistently functioning business center and hassle-free parking are not included in the high-rent, but we do get free coffee every day and free bagels on Saturdays, and that's definitely a nice touch!
