I moved into Richmond Square in early 2007, attracted to the bustle of Ballston and proximity to the Metro. When I visited, I thought I was renting at a building primarily housing young professionals and families. That was the case my first year. Then came 2008 and new neighbors moved in to the apartment to my left. Evidently, they didn't get the memo that stereo systems blaring after 11pm on a work night probably wasn't a good idea. Many calls to the front desk later, and they were gone. Then 2009 rolls around, and in come the neighbors to my right. Aside from the usual wafts of pot smoke, they too, decided to turn their apartment into Studio 54 night after night. By early 2010, it was over. Richmond Square, at least the 11th floor, had devolved into a college dorm. Left shortly thereafter. Nice place if you're a doped up college brat, but try to avoid if you're a 9 to 5 person who enjoys some quiet - especially the 11th floor.
