Resident 2010 - 2014

6/17/2014

The clientele at the Palatine has really gone downhill in the past 4 years that I've lived here. Lots of loud, younger adults now when it used to be working professionals and families. The pool is constantly packed with non-residents. They instituted pool passes this year but the lifeguard (rarely at her spot) never checks them. People constantly leave garbage and recycling sitting in the trash room. They haven't washed the windows in years and what was once grass outside is a mud pit. With the homeless shelter coming very soon, increasingly high noise levels and a deteriorating building (dirty hallways and scuffed walls) there really is not any reason to stay here.

Dear BAL5, We appreciate your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel as though the level of clientele has recently gone downhill over the past several years. Although everyone is welcome to apply we can assure you that only those individuals that meet our screening criteria are approved for an apartment home with us. We have started issuing pool passes to residents in an effort to ensure that residents have first priority at the pool. We've also made a limited amount of guest passes available for residents to share this amenity with their guests. We have not been able to complete exterior window washing primarily due to excessive dust/debris caused by the ongoing construction in the nearby area. Please be assured that this is a priority of ours and will be completed in the near future. We love the fact that we are a pet-friendly building. With this being said, it has proven to be somewhat difficult in maintaining the median grass area as this is right outside our main entrance/exit. As we continue to work with the county to get approval for a more permanent solution we will be maintaining this area to the best of our ability. We will be planting sod by the end of this month to help make this area more appealing for all. We will continue to repaint hallways and are even considering replacing the hallway carpet in the very near future. Again, we appreciate your feedback and please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any additional concerns as we would love to maintain your long term residency at the Palatine! Sincerely, Carey Anderson Property Manager
