Overpromise, way under deliver
I had a review here before which disappeared. I lived here for three years, moved out summer of 2011. The primary reason I left was because what I paid per month (rent, fees and utility increases) had increased over $800 in the three years. And while the rent increased, the level of service and amenities decreased. It is nice to have "hardwood" floors, granite and stainless appliances. The views from the units facing east are killer. It is well-located. I found the maintenance staff to be incredibly responsive and friendly. But that is where the benefits end. There are many luxury buildings in this neighborhood - you can do better. The gym is tiny and dark. There are no common areas except the lobby. There are no outdoor amenities at all worth speaking of. There is a courtyard shared with the sister property next door but it is mostly overrun with dogs. And, I love dogs, but have found irresponsible owners allowing them to poop in the stairwells and in the parking garage instead of taking them outside. Even small thoughtful things - used to love the free coffee in the lobby - that's gone. Bottom line: for what you would pay to live here, you can get WAY more bang for your buck at another building in the neighborhood. I think Equity Properties is mainly concerned with cutting costs and has very little regard for its tenants. These ratings should include one for "Value" - I'd give the Prime one star.Share This Review
