Grand Oaks Apartment Homes
Resident · 2009 - 2015
This apartment claims several things on their website and in literature available in the management office. First there is a 24 hour business center with internet, a 24 hour fitness center, a sparkling pool, playground and beautiful green space. Okay, the access to the business and fitness centers is supposed to be only for residents with a key fob to unlock the doors. That security system has been broken for over a year. Anyone, at any time can access these features. At this time the business center is nonexistent. People destroyed the computers, carpet, chairs and even tried to set the place on fire. It is an empty shell. The fitness center has rips and tears in every cushioned workout piece. The TV's hanging on the wall do not work. The cables were ripped out or had sodas dumped into them. The rest of the equipment is damaged. The swimming pool is the opposite of sparkling. At this time, and most of this season, the pool is filled with green algae and not vacuumed. It is closed on Mondays for cleaning. That does not seem to happen. There are no longer any rules for residents to agree to, so anybody can be in or around the pool. Food is no longer prohibited, so it is now everywhere. Loitering is a major problem and teens harass older residents. Come one come all, doesn't matter where you live. People have free reign to dump trash anywhere around the trash compactor. The smell is horrible over the weekend. Mini bikes and go carts are permitted to race around the complex. The noise is ear splitting. The management will flat out lie to you about almost anything just to appease the tenants. Would not recommend a new renter here. If you do, get everything you are promised in writing. Make sure they paint and clean as they will tell you is being done before your unit is available.
