Was one of the first residents to move in during September 2013, just when they officially opened. After 3 years and having seen the entire Mosaic area grow, I cannot recommend Avalon Mosaic or AvalonBay Communities to any of my friends. I have started to refer them elsewhere. Like previous reviews state, the garage doors are constantly broken. The garage itself is a nightmare to navigate. There is no concierge or security desk, just the leasing office. To not have anybody monitoring the entrance outside of 9:30 and 6:30pm (CLOSED no Sundays, mind you) at this price point, that's just unacceptable. There are a total of 4 elevators. Four. For the entire complex spanning two buildings and 6 floors, with about 500 units. Good luck waiting for one. The worst thing of all is their suspicious, unclear business and accounting practices. My final apartment inspection stated "Carpet Cleaning", yet my final bill AFTER I moved out stated "Carpet Replacement", amongst other charges that were not disclosed previously. After speaking with a representative at the company, she was unable to clarify the situation and claimed that some oven cleaning was included in the "Carpet Replacement" cost. But of course, that wasn't on the final invoice at all. I was also charged with a "Parking Discount", which doesn't make sense either. When were you last charged with a discount? The very definition of the word doesn't apply here. A separate AvalonBay representative emailed me in trying to explain, but there were further charge/credit errors, which conveniently don't paint the full picture.
