Initialy, we liked the "townhouse" appeal.
What a gross error in judgement we made. Like most places management is great until they get you to sign on the dotted line.
Our biggest complaint with this unit was a serious climate control problem. We had a reverse style unit, living area upstairs, bedrooms downstairs. That being said, there was no return vent upstairs to circulate the air so it was always summer up, and winter down. I could only use my oven in the winter so I could open the windows and the door to our garage in order to circulate the heat out of the unit.
The other problem with our unit was the walls were constructed out of paper. We had elephants that lived above us, and on the other side of our bedroom was a chronically loud and argumentative couple (and I do mean all hours of the day and night).
Of course we complained to the office to no avail. As usual they would look into it (yeah, right).
So, when we were offered the "awesome" opportunity to renew our rental agreement, with a substantial increase, we opted to part company with Avalon Fair Lakes.
