The Carriage Homes at Wyndham Apartments

We moved to Virginia in a whirlwind move (in less than one week my husband had an interview, offer and move) so obviously we did not know the area and didnt have time to purchase a house. Therefore we chose Carriage Homes at Wyndham as our temporary home away from home.

First of all, many of the reviews say it is noisey here. Perhaps I have the quietest neighbors on earth, however I doubt it since I have one on each side and one below me. I never hear anything and I am a stay at home mom who is here all the time. I find it very quiet and I often forget I am even in an apartment.

Second of all, the townhome layout is superb for those who are coming from a house. My previous home was 4300 square feet so I was quite worried about being cooped up in a small apartment but the layout makes it feel much larger and you aren't in each others faces all day.

Last, the staff is nothing but friendly and helpful. I went to the leasing office yesterday at 4pm to report a few minor things that needed to be fixed (i.e., a loose light fixture, a sticky window and a faucet set on scald guard) and this morning at 9 they were knocking on my door. Not only did he fix everything but he explained how scald guard works and he helped capture my runaway dog. (haha)

My only "complaint" is if you have company over or if you have a shorter driveway and can't park one car in the garage and one behind then you have to park near the pool or the tennis courts (or a few other 'open to all' spaces). We have had company in town for the past week and they have had no problems finding a spot nearby.

All in all, I am very happy with my decision to make this my temporary home and I highly recommend this as your next home.
