Marcella at Town Center
Resident · 2014 - 2016
I have been a Marcella resident since August of 2014 and some of these reviews are actually comical to me. In the over 2 years that we've been here, we've never had a major issue. Any issue we've ever had was quickly taken care of by the Marcella staff. The apartments are gorgeous and maintenance is out EVERY SINGLE DAY taking care of the property. We lost our key one time and didn't realize it until we were out of town. We called the front office and asked them to go by and check our apartment out to make sure no one had broken in - they went across the street and did a walkthrough of our place and called us back. To ensure our peace of mind, they offered to check in on it periodically while we were gone. One time a bird flew in our vent after hours, we sent a Facebook message to the Marcella page, and the property manager (Tina) had maintenance drive back to the property to take care of it within an hour. Yeah there were some growing pains about a year ago because some residents decided to start throwing pool parties and parties in the clubhouse after hours - when the office found out, they hired an outside security company to monitor the property after hours. That's the kind of response you get from this staff; they always do their due diligence and take care of residents. Heck, we even invited the maintenance guy to our wedding. How many people can say that about the staff at the place they live? While it is a somewhat pricey place to live, I think it's actually a bargain. If you look at comparable properties in the area with similar amenities (York at Commonwealth), Marcella beats them price wise AND has way bigger floor plans so you get more for your dollar. The clubhouse is beautiful, the valet trash is a really nice touch, and they always have something going on for the residents. At the end of the summer, they even held a dog pool party which was one of the coolest things I've ever seen an apartment do. The location is another huge plus. Bottom line: I'd be willing to bet half of these negative reviews are from people trying to get something for free. We moved in before they had a clubhouse and half of the buildings weren't even up yet. It's a beautiful property, the staff is first rate (from the lady that cleans the apartments, to maintenance, to the property manager), and they always have taken care of us. If you're unsure because of a review you see here, I dare you to go in and just talk to Tina or Lindsay in the front office and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
