The other reviews are accurate. These buildings were poorly made to begin with, and even more poorly maintained. Here are the pros and cons of our current situation: Pros: - The rent is relatively low (compared to what we're used to). $675, water included, for a 2-bed, 1-bath apartment. - Location of their properties are in generally ok spots if you're interested in being close to downtown. Cons: - Upon arrival, our unit was said to be "cleaned". "Clean"= black mold covered bathroom ceiling, black mold covered interior of dishwasher, AC unit was not working (because a bug was imbedded in thermostat casing, blocking sensor), carpeting and floors are very old with bumps and stains (probably haven't been replaced since building went up), and windows/screens were covered in years of dirt and spiderwebs. - Quick assistance with AC, however, it was not truly resolved till we investigated the issue further and found a dead bug with its eggs inside AC case. - No assistance with bathroom ceiling mold, we took care of it ourselves. - Took 1-2 months to receive clean dishwasher trays that were not covered in mold. There was a back and forth about us cleaning it ourselves, and doing a bleach wash, etc. - Washer/dryer units are outside of our apartment, in separate building across from us. Costs 1.25 a load. Recently, a broken dryer was left in the space for 2-3 weeks, with no note indicated it was out of service, until I sent a message. Dryer was taken out, and we were left with 1 dryer to accommodate 20 housing units for another 2 weeks. New one recently put in place, and the cost for that machine is 1.75 (presumably higher to pay for the cost of new machine). - Neighbors: If you're getting an apartment or townhouse unit, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Additionally, the general population who live in these apartments are not always quality people. Unfortunately, we've had experiences with extremely rude and disrespectful neighbors. All in all, you get what you pay for. They don't bend over backwards for their tenants, they provide the bare minimum and charge you for it.
