Resident ā€¢ 2016 - 2018

Now I was going to leave a review saying this apartment is decent with pretty typical apartment problems. I will say what everyone has said here is pretty true. They do have a pretty bad bug problem, when we first moved in 2 years ago there was a wood beetle problem, we fixed that ourselves no thanks to maintenance and soon after the roaches came. The streets in this neighborhood flood to high hell. Some of them you can't even park in unless you want to have to get a new car when a decent storm passes. Outside of the occasional robbery, barricade situation, raccoons at the dumpster at sun down, and car break ins it's normal. The reason though I am writing this review is because of the office and how they are giving me the run around and basically blatantly not caring about an issue they've caused me. So buckle up folks here is the real. So I just moved out this past weekend, during my lease my husband who deployed twice while there was taken off and re-added to the lease during the deployments. The second home-coming was about 6 weeks before our lease being up so we didn't bother adding him back on. During the time there was a fight at the house and the police was called. A few days later there was a letter on my door about them seeing that he wasn't a tenant and that his car was spotted in resident parking, if it's seen they will tow it. Now we have 2 cars both being in his name so at this time I took the tag off my car and him as well and we parked in visitors. So for the past month everything was fine, until this past Friday night/Saturday morning. We're getting up to leave and BOTH cars are towed, call the tow company affordable towing and they say his car apparently wasn't allowed on the property period and "my car" was a resident in visitors parking. Mind you this was the day we were moving out of the apartment, the day before our lease being up. The cars had been parked in visitors parking all this time no issues but now all of a sudden they're towed. We go to the towing company, talk to them, basically saying we'll eat the price for 1 car "his" but shouldn't be paying for mine because this wasn't a residents car in visitors parking this was in fact a guest vehicle. They wanted to let us go but the GM said they had to go by what the apartment complex has listed and to go there and talk with them and they could give us our money. Because I was so pissed I decided to wait and go after I moved in and had time to clear my head. You know trying to be an adult about the situation, so come yesterday (Monday) I go to the office and speak to I believe Mary about the situation. Explain, show her proof and everything and she repeatedly tells me she doesn't understand why they would tow the car it should have in fact been parked in visitors and it should've never been touched. They had taken my husbands car off as a residents vehicle and left mine on, though again they are both in his name. So great, we agree this was a mistake so lets fix it. I asked her repeatedly to call the tow company and tell them that so I can get the money back because they don't give money back from tows they would have to. She said she didn't have the authority and that either Brianna (who wasn't there she would be in today, called today and checked still isn't in apparently) had to or the property manager who was in an office literally 20ft away from us. Babs or whatever her name is, clearly is hearing the whole thing because she even had someone come and close her door to rid her of the noise, she is just refusing to deal with her teams mistake. I asked her to get her to do it and she said they she couldn't be bothered because she had just come back from vacation and needed to do the books. It was at this point I lost my cool. This was an issue caused on your end and you treat me as if I'm bothering you. I told her it was incredibly rude to refuse to spend 2 minutes on the phone to the tow company to fix your employees mistake. My husband got me out the office but Breezy Point you guys have some serious issues. Your office staff is inconsiderate and rude, and hopefully when we come back you do us both a favor and make it so I never have to walk in or speak to your staff again. Fix your wrong and help me get my money back. The same way you would be on my back if it was $155 missing off of the rent I want my money too. The part that's really ticking me about this is THIS ISN'T EVEN MONEY YOU'RE GOING TO BE MISSING! So what exactly is the problem?? Nothing, just rude people refusing to do their job, I guess since I'm no longer a tenant they couldn't care less now. Since I hardly spoke to them during my lease, I can only wonder how much they would've cared then. Bottom line they don't, don't waste your time or your money. Convenient for base workers because of the location but that's literally the best you're going to get out of this place.
