We absolutely love living at Montgomery Square and are really disappointed that we have to move due to military orders. Lapraya is an AMAZING property manager. She always makes herself available and open to anything you need. She's professional and gets back to us within the day if we ever call or write an e-mail. The maintenance crew is always keeping up the property and always has a smile on their face. It makes me feel safe and welcome. There is weekly vacuuming and cleaning the halls which keeps it smelling fresh and very tidy. The gym is small but perfect to get in a quick workout if you're short on time. From what I understand the management is going to expand the entire bottom floor to include a bigger gym, some parking, waste disposal, open patio, and other apartments. Wish we could be here to see how it turns out. There is usually always parking BUT my only critique is that there aren't lines drawn in the parking lot so there's a lot of bad parking, double park, and it's sometimes frustrating. Our one bedroom/one bath was perfect for a couple. Beautiful paint, great french doors that open up to the courtyard, new appliances, and so much more. We have carpet in our unit and wish we could of rented a unit with wood floors but it didn't take away from the great functionality of our place. I gave three stars for noise solely because of our upstairs neighbors who were extremely loud and pretty ridiculous. We never heard a peep from any of our other neighbors though. People tend to give a bad wrap to Portsmouth but it's such a great neighborhood. You can walk across the street and grab a beer & a crab sandwich in a really eclectic restaurant. On Saturday mornings there's a farmers market down the street & on the first Saturday of the month there's an antique flea market. I personally work in downtown Norfolk so I took the ferry from the high street landing (.5 mile away) to waterside. Overall, it's astounding place & we're truly sad to be moving away!
