I have rented for 1.5 years here and had a maintenance emergency this weekend. I called the after hours maintenance line only to be told my emergency was not on the list of items maintenance could be contacted for on weekend hours and that I would have to wait until Monday morning for a call back. My roommate and I are going to stay in a hotel tonight so we can sleep and provide safe care to our patients at the nearby hospital tomorrow (location was a big factor in our selecting this apartment). The apartments are nice and convenient, but the weekend management contact and maintenance crews are inadequate and unhelpful when you have a problem. Make sure you have a local back-up if you rent here. For the record, our emergent problem is a piercingly loud beeping smoke detector that goes of every few seconds. We can not think, let alone sleep, with it malfunctioning- not to mention that with this malfunction, we don't feel safe that it would alarm if there actually were an emergent smoke or fire issue in our building/apartment.
