Resident • 2013 - 2015
I live in one of the apartments which has been set up for the handicapped. There is space under all of the sinks for wheelchair users. The stove lighting, etc are lower for us and so is the microwave.. The washer/dryer area is set for side by side appliances and the bathroom has safety bars installed. For the most part it is very convenient for me. The apartment is spacious and quiet. I go to activities planned by both the staff and the residents. We have bingo, pokeno. birthday celebrations, and a wine social each month. The office sets up people to come in each month with services or information that seniors need to know. All of these activities take place in our clubhouse. It has a full kitchen, coffee bar, tvs, a pool table and seating for casual visits or tables to use to play cards and games. I use the clubhouse at least 4 or 5 times a week. We have a lovely library overflowing with books donated by residents. The selections are added to on a regular basis. For those who can use them, there is both a pool and a fully equipped fitness room. I love it here. I have met so many nice people who I now have as friends, The activities are numerous if you wish to participate. The residents plan a lot of them. The office and maintenance staff are friendly and have helped me a lot. I am definitely glad I moved here.
