Everything went fine during the application process. We received a notification stating that we had been approved but we were never contacted about what apartment's were available, when they would be available, etc. We had to repeatedly contact the office in order to get any answers. Information does NOT flow out of that office unless you request it. Not being able to pay your bill online is a BIG pain, need to get with the game. I don't need checks for any other purpose than living at this property. We have noticed that the rules apply to some, but not all. Examples being, the maintenance worker has a dog that is routinely out off leash and there are many piles of feces from that dog in the grass in that general area where it goes out. Other people I know have gotten letters on their doors for their dogs being off leash with threats of lease violations being written to them. An older woman who worked part time in the office routinely let her black lab out off leash without reprisal. A friend of the manager exceeds the pet limits of the lease agreement and has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 bird within the apartment, but they receive no notices. We have had an appliance in our apartment unusable for over 2 months now. We have been in the office asking about it twice, called multiple times but the phone in the office wasn't answered, and even spoken directly with the maintenance guy twice. We are always assured that it they will be over to check it out in the next day or to, but weeks go by with nothing. Our maintenance guy is great, but he is spread too thin to service the community in my opinion, he needs help. All in all I like the location and I like the community, but I believe management needs an upgrade, and online payment needs to be implemented to make this location more appealing.

    Thank you for your valued Dam Neck Square residency and feedback. I am delighted that you like our community but sorry to see that you have not been more satisfied. I will attempt to address your remarks here and hope you will contact me directly to thoroughly discuss any concerns that remain. Firstly, as our wait list has grown, I notify applicants upon acceptance and request that they let me know now and then if still interested. I occasionally reach out but cannot make it through the entire list except approximately every two months, so it helps the process when I can note that an applicant has advised of continued interest. Secondly, online rent payment is not a product to which our community subscribes, but I have passed along your desire for this option. Thirdly, some residents have documented service animals. Service animals are not considered pets. One of the service animals in our community died over a year ago and was leashed whenever it was off the back patio, though that was rare due to its arthritis. There was an instance of a dog off-leash a while ago that I resolved, though that dog has since passed. Those are the only dogs I can think of that might have been seen off a leash. Please notify me if you witness this violation in the future. Fourthly, your appliance issue is of critical importance to me, so I hope you will let me know which home is yours. I personally want to check the status. The maintenance turnaround times have somewhat slowed due to unforeseen circumstances which should improve soon. I apologize for any impact on your household. Fifthly, I treat all residents the same and try my best to start with verbal warnings, leaving any lease violation notices for the last chance.
