As the old adage says: "You get what you pay for...." First the ownership does not want to put any money into the apartments. The problems we encountered with our apartment grew from the fact that the Corporation which owns the units never put any serious money into the place: maintain status quo. This leaves the office personnel holding the bag so to speak and taking, unfortunately, the brunt of the frustration of the tenants. We had no problems with the staff. I am a hands on type of guy so I often did my own maintenance. The major problem is crime, several break inns and even a stabbing while we lived there. There are student dealers and users from TCC which is located across the street. If I were to do it all over again I would have paid extra for a better facility but I am cheap and this is what you get for cheap in Virginia Beach.
