Resident 2012

11/20/2012

My husband and I were in a hurry to rent an apartment and had used reviews to find Royal Pointe to be the best choice. Worst mistake we have ever made. Cons: * Foxes: They have a fox problem. A couple of foxes who have been fed since they were pups by the employess of Wawa, have no fears of humans or their pets. We awoke one morning to help our neighbor who we have witnessed has been incessantly harrassed by these foxes, we're assuming because of the general size and shape of her dog. They breed every few months so theyre are several foxes running through the neighborhood which can be a bit scary when they pop out in bushes while walking to the laundry room. * Management: While they are nice, they seem completely incompetent to needs. I have had someone constantly parking in my spot and everytime I call the towing company, they tell me management has to call. Management is closed, so we called the security team, they just put a little paper warning on the window which I watched the person crumple up and throw on the ground. * Pool: The pool is open for three months. From the end of may to labor day, the pool is open. Although, plenty of warm days occur before and after these dates. The pool should be made available to residents from the actual warm dates until the cold, not the specific season dates. * Structure: The building are shabby, I guess the only pro would be the fact they are still standing. I feel like the floor will fall through on the upstairs bathroom, and I only weigh 123. There are cracks in my ceiling from what looks like water damage. Spiders and insects constantly getting in somehow, we assume maybe through the chimney cracks. The paint is also very easily chiped. Constant clogging of the sinks, the dishwasher doesnt really wash anything, cabinets won't fully align or close. * The Kitchen: The kitchen gets its own star because this is the most horrendous thing I have ever seen. It is small, cramped, and don't expect to get large plates because you will be keeping them in drawers. The kitchen is outdated with old applicances that seem to constatly be changed in and out of apartments. The cabinets are shabby and the entire set up isn't even mediocre at best. Some of the newly renovated apartments and townhomes have a more updated kitchen, but do cost more. Pros: * Stores: There is a quaint little shopping center with grocery stores and some take out behind the complex. You have to walk through fox country to get to them though. Save your money, better yet, you can find better for the same price. Save yourself the hassle and don't move here.
