Bayvue is one of the worst apartment complexes in Woodbridge if not THE worst and yes it is ------. I moved here last year in February and it's been a year and a half in hell ever since. Roaches will become your new roommates, except in this case they will be impossible to get rid of because the buildings are INFESTED with them. It's absolutely disgusting! When you have to go to the bathroom, you are forced to bring ur plate of food with you because if you leave it on the table for 3 seconds roaches will be trying to get a bite by the time you get back. Bayvue will ocasionally send Orkin out to spray for roaches, but it won't do any good, they are here to stay. With that said, before Orkin comes to spray, Bayvue sends out a flyer stating that you have to remove everything from the cuboards and counters of the kitchen and bathroom and if you don't you will be charged $50.00. Ummm, tell me again why I'll be charged for this when I'm not the one at fault for the little critters taking over my apartment in the first place? I'm left restless at night having to sleep with one eye open, and oh, if you ever wake up in the middle of the night and turn your light on, you're sure to find one of your little roommates staring at you from the floor, ceiling, or wall. Hurry up and kill him though...he's a fast one. The windows are as thin as paper so you are guaranteed to hear everything and I mean everything that goes on outside like the trash trucks and car horns and alarms. The walls are just as thin as the windows so you'll feel like you're at the Jerry Springer show with all the constant yelling and fighting, at least from my neighbors anyway. Illegal immigrants basically over-populate the Bayvue community. There has to be at least 10 people to a 2 bedroom apartment. It helps to be fluent in speakig Spanish because you will definitely have to tell them to shut the f**k up every once in a while, especially when they decide to play their Raggaeton from 6 a.m to 2a.m the next day. Sometimes you will find them hanging out in front of your building drinking Coronas and talking loudly about absolutely nothing, which now leaves me to warn you about the empty beer bottles you'll probably find in the hallway or out front on the stairs, so watch your step. Basically no one living in Bayvue has any respect for the other. The slamming of doors, the yelling, the loud music, the trash being left in the hallways, and don't get me started on the time I wandered innocently into the building only to discover one of the residents exposing his drunken self while urinating in the hallway. Don't mention the train that goes by every 20 minutes. It's actually about a mile or so down the road, but when it comes by it'll sound as if it's right behind your building. A previous poster said that they had never heard any gunshots or anything to make them think it was unsafe and blah blah blah. Well, about 2 months ago I came home from work and noticed that the police had half of the parking lot blocked off with that yellow "do not cross" tape. There had to be at least 6 cop cars out. Some of the cops were talking to 3 guys and the others were taking pictures of what became the crime scene. What were they taking picures of you ask? BULLET CASINGS. You know, the ones that come from guns? So yeah, not very safe. Get used to the cops being there because yes, they too will become constant visitors of Bayvue, along with abulances and fire trucks...don't think for one second that their constant presence will make you safer. I think Bayvue's rent is way above what it should be and it's been increasing ever since I moved here a year ago. I pay damn near $1000.00 a month, which in my opinion, is way more than it's actually worth. There are a lot of other apartments around who offer dishwasher, washer and dryer in-unit, etc. for as much as you would end up paying at Bayvue. Yet, to wash your clothes, you have to either 1. Go to a different building on the property and wash there (I used the on site laundry Bayvue has and unbeknownst to me, someone had placed a lighter inside the dryer. Sure they removed the lighter, but when it came time to dry my clothes, they reeked of gasoline. Bayvue said I would be reimbursed, but you should already know how that story ended. No, I was never reimbursed.) or 2. Go to a laundry mat, which is usually always crowded. I'm in the process of looking for other places to live. Those of you who think living at Bayvue is such a thrill...enjoy your stay! I cannot wait to leave.
