Resident 1998 - 2002

5/18/2002

One of the other reviews for chopaka mentioned the garbage overflowing form the dumpsters onto the grounds. This is the truth! My wife and I complained about that numerous times because it attracted infestation and just made the area looked so terrible.
The managers here are usually not as responsive to issues and complaints as I have received when living at other apartments.
Dogs are allowed to roam around and do their business all over the place. To compensate for this, the managers now charge all residents that own pets to pay $25 extra on the rent since the staff have to clean up after these dogs pooping all over the place. Yes, the $25 applies even if you pet never goes outdoors. This is on top of the $300 fee just to have a pet in the apartment.
Parking is terrible. There were many ocassions when i couldn´t park within 5 buildings of my home and would have to walk all the way across the complex. One major reason this is bad is because I like to keep an eye on my truck and my wife´s car due to the number of stolen vehicles from this complex.
And that brings us to the police activity here. Nary a week goes by that the cops aren´t here busting someone for drug possession in the apartment, or taking a stolen property report or from the infamous ´F´ building where the wife beater lived. Our apartment was in the Seatt;e news two montsh ago when there was a 7 hour police standoff. The swat from nearby towsn was brought in when a resident held cops at bay with a gun. sigh. Tha´s just about the last straw for us, we´re moving.
Oh, and the traffic in Issaquah is atrocious. Do not live here unless you don´t mind spending 30 minutes in traffic jams during rush hour just to travel 2 miles to the interstate.

When we first moved in the place was nice. The managers let the place turn into a dump, which attracted the "wrong crowd" and the police soo followed. This apartment complex is an unhealthy environment for a family, my wifes car has been scratched by the brats that play in the parking lot while the management does nothing to keep the parents held responsible for their kids activities, a couple of minority families have 8 or more people living in a 2 bedroom apartment, most of them have cars that take up all the available spaces, our 2 bed apartment of <800 sq ft was about $1,000 not including the new garbage fees and new pet poop fees, outdoor lights keep going out making it dangerously dark outside your apartment, moving in is difficult because of the confined spaces your moving truck will have a very difficult time, bees are a problem around our building, the service person sucks and is slow and lazy, ...i could go on and on and on.

Bottom line, do not live here.
