Resident 2002 - 2004

7/26/2008

Anyone who has lived in Issaquah knows its nickname Gilman ------'s. Don't let the beautiful landscaping fool you. Charlene the old manager was awsome. She was human unlike her replacement. Yes the apartments do smell like mold. The toilet tanks are full of it as well as the sinks. You gag from the smell when brushing your teeth. While living there the h20 tank burst leaving 2" of water. I was left to dry the place out myself. Was told they would replace the carpet. Of course that was never done. In fact they tried to charge me 3000 for damages when I moved out. The carpet was never replaced when I moved in initially. My kids did destroy the already worn out carpet in one (not all of the bedrooms) just one. And there was 1 door needed replacing and 1 spot on the wall that needed patched. That was not 3000 in damages. Total thieves. Not to mention all the rules you have to live by. Gilman Ghettos is a spendy jail. But the grounds are pretty. Of course there was the hot tub. It spent more time close than ever open. The tanning cost you only a quarter but the bulbs were never replaced in all the years I lived there. The pool is only open 3 months a year. No adult only time. This is a nice section 8 community. But don't expect nothing but being managed from the managment. They are in it to make money. I have moved on to better neighborhoods and a much better apartment complex for the same amount of money. It may not have the pool. But Lake Washington is across the street.
