Resident 2009 - 2013

7/18/2013

This place use to be nice but with the kids running around (with hardly any adult supervision) the kids are the ones destroying this place (littering, yelling while they play, playing on or around the cars cause there is no place for them to go). The dog poo is nasty and never gets picked up. One thing would help is if the owners or management would put in those pet stations maybe? Parking is tough at night or shall I say after dinner time. The place was built expecting one parking stall per unit then maybe a total of 5 additional spots left over for guest. Yes, only that many in the entire complex for guest! I highly doubt every unit only has one car! They have gone through tons of managers and maintenance since the complex opened (think it was 6 or 7 years ago), I don't think I have seen one manager really in the office when they say they are suppose to be in there. Because they manage 2 complexes everytime you want to go talk to them, they are rarely in the office. The grass is dead before summer starts cause they never turn the water on to water plants or grass here, they are constantly posting notices to enter (it seems like) cause they always have to inspect this and inspect that! I swear I get more company by some vendor they hired then my own family! Walls seem paper thin so you will hear your neighbors. I understand that should be considered normal apt living but your suppose to be ok if your upstairs neighbors have kids running around sounding like elephants. The police seem to be here more and more often, not to patrol but to respond to some complaint. When you have maintenance issues in your apt here in order for them to finish (if they didn't fix it the 1st time) you have to tell the manager so they come back. I've lived in many apts before, it's not common you have to do that. The only other comment about this complex is very accurate, however, I don't even go to the basketball court because it turns into a little playground for the small ones then their parents get upset cause you actually want to use the small court to play ball when they got half of the complex small ones riding around on their little bikes on the half court. The only time its really loud here is during the summer cause all the windows are open, its really when you hear the music/tv the other comment mentioned...and the smell too of people cooking. The smell doesn't bug me, but the smell from the dog poop that isn't picked up does! Every year the owners gives the residence here a survey which gives us the ability to voice our opinion about the positives and negatives. I guess it doesn't matter what I've wrote cause its the same every year (the issues) cause nothings changed. Actually it has, its just getting more ran down, more ------ looking. So if you want low-income, dead grass hard to find parking at night feeling like your living in a daycare with all the screaming kids outside this is the perfect place for you! They say they don't allow pets, but you'll see dogs off leashes and cats walking around. There is probably other things I left out, but those are the issues that comes to mind. I do work, but being a single parent with min. wage job I can't afford a normal rent you would pay elsewhere or I would have moved once my lease expired. The only positive thing about this place I do have to mention is that the owners hired someone to help do the activities here (they do afterschool homework club, during the summer they have daycamp, and things like that). She also helps with resources for your family if you need help with other things too.
