I actually recommend living here, just make sure you have all your ducks in a row before you move out. I actually previously wrote a postive review of this community on 3/6/2005. Living there was great, it was moving out that I had troubles with. Apart from limited parking and thin walls, everything was fine. Floorplan was great, things were always fixed on time, great community center. However, moving out was a less than lovely experience. Why so bad, you may be asking. I hired a cleaning crew to clean my apt, but alas, did not get any of my initial deposit back. Unfortunately, they were friends of the family, so I didnt get a receipt proving their work, which would have been very helpful. After I moved out, I received a bill from Avalon Wildwood totaling over $110. I was told that was for a basic cleaning! Keep in mind, I was only the second person to live in my apartment and it had been cleaned.
Also, make sure you move your mail long before you move. I submitted my change of address on-line, but it was never processed. Because of this, I couldnt access any mail because management wouldn't reopen the box for me.
Lastly, make sure you read your Statement of Deposit Activity (SODA) thoroughly. I found out that Avalon had charged me for a utility bill that had already been cashed by Avalon. When I pointed out that this was Avalon's error, not mine, I was told I had to pay it. Bottom line: Avalon is a great place to live while you're there but once you move out, it becomes quite difficult to deal with.
