Resident 2012 - 2013

8/11/2013

I moved to this state last year for work and chose the Elliot at Mukilteo. Overall, I had a great impression and would have stayed if I hadn't moved with work. The Good -The apartment I lived in was adjacent to the park, so the view was great. -There is a good park next door which just opened up a longer trail you can take to loop around to the library, and a longer one to the end of 92nd street. -Only a mile away from the pier. -Apartment layout was great. I appreciated the separate hall for the bedrooms and the pass through between the kitchen/dining/living room. -Maintenance was responsive, online system to report maintenance issues were good and the staff was professional -Recent upgrades on the windows cut down on the breezes, etc. The screens are also new which is perfect for these apartments since there is no A/C option in this area. -large common Barbeque pit picnic area. No reservations required and is great for small get-togethers. - Attractive open kitchen on renovated apartments. A lot of room to move around, black glass stove top, steal look on fridge, pass through to dining room. The not as good -The noise was noticeable but not as bad as some apartments I've had. It's not a huge deterrent. - Asbestos waiver for apartment. I'm under the impression the apartments have had that issue fixed, but they leave the waiver just in case. - Parking limited in some areas. Most buildings of 10 apts may have 2 unassigned apartments (Each apartment gets 1 assigned apartment by default). May require some walking. However, more unassigned parking can be found near the mailroom and on some of the uphill inclines, as well as the road leading to the complex. All of the apartments in this area that I know of have a similar situation. - Spacesaver washer/dryers. However, I have to admit, these dryers are older, but they have generally less maintenance issues than some of the larger regular washer/dryer systems I have had in apartments.Dryer door likes to close on you, but some quick velcro to the door frame and dryer door solves that like a charm. YMMV.
