Cooper's Glen Apartments
Resident · 2011
I moved into the Glenn looking to live in an apartment over the summer of 2011 and close to the Evergreen State College which is literally a 5 minute walk away. It started out great but as time went by the quality of life as well as my personal health deteriorated immensely. There is an awful amount of blackmold in each apartment. After 2 weeks of living there I began to cough up this disgusting blackish coloured stuff. I'm a smoker so I already have a terrible smokers cough, but it got 10 times worse since I started living there. It took nearly 2 weeks to get over the glenn cough. I turned my 20 day notice in the 3rd of July when I was paying my rent for the month. I went in a few weeks later to ask for a check list for moving out. They then told me that they had no 20 day notice and then went on to say that I would be needing to pay 13 days of rent for the month. I told them that I would not be paying it as it was not a carbon copy and I did turn it in. This went back and forth for a few months. After I moved out I got a letter from them a couple weeks later telling me the charges that they gave me. All charges were for things that were not there for example a cleaning charge of $50 for trash left inside the house, a $25 charge for leaving trash outside of my house and multiple other charges. First of all if it's outside of the house it could have been my neighbour or anyone else as the outside are is shared by another apartment. I would never ever ever live here again I would never suggest anyone to live here.
