Resident 2013

DO NOT RENT HERE! So many issues, I don't know where to begin. First, if you have kids, stay away. Even though the playground on the property looks inviting and it looks like the place is kid friendly, it isn't. You might think you're going into a family oriented complex, when in fact it's about as inviting and loving as a prisoner camp in ---- Germany. You aren't allowed to have anything other than patio furniture and a grill on the back porch. God help you if you or your child leave anything other than those items out there overnight. There will be someone with a camera taking pictures (invasion of privacy) and reporting your egregious errors back to The Fuehrer in no time. I've even been told that the garden hose that I was using to water THEIR dying grass was a problem because it wasn't wrapped around the wall mount enough and some was lying on the ground! If you leave something on the back porch, that's a fine. If you leave something other than cars in the carport, that's a fine. If for whatever reason you don't do what they say as quickly as their vague unspecified guidelines demand, that's a fine. And try as you might to get it removed, the answer will always be NEIN! If you leave town for a couple days without telling them, they wrote in the contract that they can come in, sell your belongings, and lease the apartment to someone else, WITHOUT WARNING YOU! Have a maintenance issue? Someone will be out within two weeks to maybe fix your problem. I will give them credit, they have installed new amenities to all the buildings. But I seriously doubt it was out of the kindness of their hearts... Also a note, the cell service is terrible out there. Not really their fault, just an fyi. I have never dealt with such callous totalitarian rules and regulations in my life. And saving a couple bucks on rent turned out to be hilariously futile. If you go to the Pettit Property Management(the company that handles this property and others in the area) you'll notice that there isn't a section for tenants to leave reviews. Interesting... I wonder why... Needless to say we are pursuing the idea of breaking our lease and just being done with this god forsaken place. We have also contacted the Better Business Bureau and are looking to possibly seek the services of a lawyer and filing a lawsuit if we get enough support to do so. I urge anyone that has had the same experiences or can add anything to the potential case to contact me at meadowslegalaction@gmail.com
