WARNING! Do not sign a lease with the new management! They may act nice until they have your signature then they ignore any problems their tenants have. The new elder female manager is not into making tenants happy, but rather getting the problems to disappear by telling people to "call the police" or "sue us then". She seems like a major liability to UDR, but maybe that's how they run their business. We have moved out and will never look back at that place. Don't expect your deposit back no matter if the wear and tear is natural or not. Also, don't expect them to keep their word. While living there we were made MULTIPLE promises then screwed financially in the end as they tried to make up charges for us even though they can't even find our lease. Also, each time you renew your lease, the rent goes UP! That's how they trick you into signing longer leases. Don't listen to any promises unless it is signed on paper and you have the original copy. What a bunch of scammers and low-lifes. I don't think anyone is happy with the new horrible management change that has recently taken place. That attitude may work in New York, but talking down to tenants is unacceptable, especially from someone who thinks being an apartment manager qualifies them as "powerful". You can find good rental houses for the same prices as they charge to live in their outdated apartments. One last thing.... they have "show" apartments which are NOTHING like the apartment you will be renting. Make sure if your unfortunate enough to have to live there to make them show you YOUR unit.
