I have lived in the Colony for around 2 years and eventually I found that I have been really attached to this place, even after my family purchased a new house, when we talked about places we used to live and referred to the apartment we used to live and said -- "you can tell whether you like or not a place by living in it for several days and cooking several dinners in it". The Colony is such a place that we like living in it.
Initially, I was referred by a friend here, after taking a tour and talk with Fack, I quickly decided to move in, because of the reasonable price, nice apartment conditions, and convenience for work. The apartments are in good condition, and the ones I lived are in very quiet and enjoyable areas -- with pond view & tree/hill views. The gyms, playgrounds, and pools are well maintained for both adults and kids. It's pretty close to Microsoft, 520 highway, supermarkets, restaurants, and the schools are good -- Emily Dickinson & Evergreen.
The staff here are really professional, considerate, and helpful, especially Fack and Brian, all the time -- which I think is a work-attitude level that must be very precious to achieve and keep up with. The maintenance folks are super efficient, nice and reliable as well!
I used to have 2 suggestions for them -- 1) package email/text system, which I think they have just done, and 2) reminder places that show carports are only for reserved residents, which I think they are already aware of and must be trying to solve.
In all, it's not only a nice place to live, but a nice experience for me, so I would highly recommend the Colony to anyone who's looking for apartments around that area. Thanks.
