Awesome in the city!
I have to say, this is the nicest apartment I have stayed in on capitol hill. It is a little pricy, but well worth it. Management is fantastic, welcoming, happy, always helpful. I wish that parking was included but $100 is actually average on theā¦Ā See More >CodyGibney

Not a good place to live
I lived there for two years but couldn't handle it anymore. I had drug dealers living next door and reported it to the management and they did nothing. I even gave them proof. I ended up having to hand it over toā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Happy
I've been living here for about three months. I am very happy with the current management. They are very professional and very responsive. Maintenance is prompt and professional. I Love This Place-Since '03
I first moved in Nov '03...I lived here until Novmember of '07 and the only reason I moved out was because I was in the mortgage business which pretty much meant I was unemployed I moved back in Feb of this yr and couldn't be happier.ā¦Ā See More >AlwaysOwnedAhouse

I was a resident and a employee
Union Bay Apartments and Capital Steps are owned by the same person. If you read my Union Bay Apartments report. I would have to say Capital Steps was by far the better of the two buildings in construction and condition. They areā¦Ā See More >VicoriaBC

Read all the way down and "read between the lines"
If you read all the reviews it's obvious there's something wrong here.
Why do some keep defending the place? Do you think it's a tenant or management?

Capitol Steps only cares about money, They don't want to hold up their end of the deal.
They will leverage yourā¦Ā See More >Chinpokomon

Seems like it's all or nothing on these reviews
I've been at this residence for some time now. It is convenient to everywhere; I-5, downtown, Capitol Hill, and for me work.

A year and a half ago, there was a rash of car break-ins in my garage (there are two for the building). I believeā¦Ā See More >anonymous

I enjoyed my apartment
My apartment was great. The building was quiet and the location was very convenient. I would reccommend this building to anyone.

It's Been Great
I have been living at Capitol Steps for 5 years. The location is great and the freeway convenience is excellent. The building itself is quiet, the neighborhood is busy but that's what anyone should expect for downtown living. There is so muchā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Very Disappointing
Capitol Steps is one of the options for a "newer" apartment building on Capitol Hill. On paper it looks great - nice amentities, decent price, great location, even a nice view if you are lucky. All of those things are true.

Unfortunately,ā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Great Place to Live!!!

Not too bad, All things considered
I have a tiny one bedroom that's low on storage space... that, and the weird frequency with which the fire alarm goes off here are my only real complaints. (That only happens because yet another person moving in has backed in to a water pipeā¦Ā See More >anonymous

A terrible experience
I was so glad to find this forum, so that i can warn others about this terrible place. Why would management refer to their tenants as screw-ups?
This reminds me of the time I asked the leasing manager for some help and was then threatenedā¦Ā See More >Meirin

Not a good choice.
If you're looking for a place to live, this not the place.
Fortunately, Belltown and Downtown have much better buildings, with top notch staff and higher vacancy rates (better values).
After living there for quite some time, I've learned that it's nothing more than a badā¦Ā See More >capitolsteps

Dispute to "Horrible & Unsafe"
This incident was unfortunate. We have never had an incident like this previous to this tenant or after. The apartment management assisted the Seattle Police Department fully in their investigation and we did everything we could to help this tenant feel secure. ā¦Ā See More >anonymous
