City Views Apartments
Resident · 2007 - 2008
I lived here for two years and will never go back. I liked the maintenance guy Wy and even got along with the management girls but there were many problems. When I looked at the apartment there were huge black mold patches on the walls and around the windows and the carpet was tattered and stained. They assured me that the apartment would be ready in three days and true to their word it was. new carpet (without pad) and paint (right over that mold). A month after I moved in there was a fire alarm at 3am and all of the residents were forced into the street for 2 hours as the cops arrested some drunk residents who pulled the alarm. Then the garage doors stopped working and the doors were left open for two months before they were fixed. Six months later they broke again and were left open for another month. Then we had to get new controllers and sign a paper saying we would pay 200 for the new opener if we lost it. there is only about five outside parking spots for any guests for the entire complex AND the condo complex across the street and suprisingly they are always taken. Do not be tempted to park in the cul-de-sac as it is a no parking zone and the same cop comes at 2am every night and hands out tickets. Any guest that you have has to park on Avalon and hope that their car is not broken into or stolen. After almost two years I moved out mid lease and they sent me a bill for $4790.00. They did not explain what the charges were for and obviously kept all of my $800 deposit. I tried to get ahold of CONAM but just have an answering machine and noone would return my calls. After 2 months a guy from thier "Collection Department" called me and tried to Settle for half of the amount but it was too late, I had already filed bankruptsy and the whole thing was discharged. I have NEVER been treated as poorly by any company as I have by CONAM. I would STRONGLY recommend that you avoid any property managed by them.
