Resident 2004 - 2005 Not Recommended
Reviewed 09/15/2005
I lived here for about a year and a half. I paid my rent on time. And because I had a dog in my apartment (they don't allow pets although the landlords have birds that roam around their apartment) for not even 2 hours (it could have been visiting me for the amount of time it was there, no joke), the landlord yelled at me to get it out when I immediately informed them I had bought a dog and that I was moving out ASAP; however, could he stay for 2-3 days until I got situated in my new place. I had kept the dog in the kitchen area that was uncarpeted, like I said for less than two hours. Upon my moving out, which was a day. I, of course, paid double rent because of the renting cycle, and was not living there for a whole month. During my whole stay there, I had the windows open every day, which was due to the fresh paint that kept stinking up my room, even after endless hours of burning candles, and the fact that my window opened up to the area where people smoked out in front of the building, including one of the landlords. The stove and refridgerator had been stored in the basement prior to my moving in, and were covered in dust when i arrived. I had to clean it myself. The bathtub and bathroom sink and kitchen counter had stains. And in the end, I was charged for all of these. They said I had an odor due to the dog (more like the paint and smoke). And I had stains and the appliances weren't as clean as when I moved in (yeah, they weren't covered in dust!). And I went to them asking if i could finish moving out 1 or 2 days after when I was supposed to and they said, "no problem, we are accommodating" and then they charged me for two extra days of rent! Plus there is no parking anywhere, average driving around time is 45 mins a night! The basement smells like garbage and stinks up the whole complex.
