Greentree Village Apartments

I have been a long time resident of these apartments. Through the years I have seen many changes, both good and bad. I have experienced many managers, a couple of owners, and a multitude of neighbors. Recently, I have heard several comments from other long time residents regarding the changes that are being made. No comment as of yet was positive. Yet all in the neighborhood have received flyers and mailings indicating all this complex has to offer. The real deal is as follows:

The maintenance guys are a great group of guys. They work very hard, but the buildings are so old they can do nothing but react to all the problems that come up. There are many. Basic problems with the water is current. (the water is brown, no pressure, the pipes rumble in the walls, etc.)

Furthermore, they have no security patrolling the area. Several cars have been vandalized in the assigned parking areas. Three that I am aware of have been attempted to be stolen. And on top of that, the security doors do not lock properly. Anyone can come into the hallways at any point. Security used to patrol nightly.

And lastly rent is increased regularly. Which is to be expected to some degree. What is not expected is the increases with no improvements. The exterior was painted recently and the paint is peeling off the buildings. There are no groundskeepers. A few guys tend the flowers by the office, other than that there is none. The interior of the apartments are cosmetically addressed to some extent. Painted after each tenant, carpets shampooed, etc. The underlying problems are not addressed.
