Decent- A common sense view

So my review comes from a perspective of living here over a course of three years. Two of which were in a 2bdrm 2btrm apartment and the last was a 1X1 of course. Overall I would give this place a 3.5-4/5 most times. Sometimes I would rate it lower than that just because the apartments I lived in faced the street so there would always be a little noise. However, people will be awake on Friday and Saturday nights across the street in their apartments having a party. I've only seen the cops there a couple of times (and I work 2nd shift() so I know what I'm talking about. I've never heard any gun shots like some of what people have said about Tukwila. Let me lay it out for you black and white: PROS: Floor plans are spacious enough W/D in unit (A ) Usually enough parking, Obviously Friday, Saturdays and Holidays > difficult to find enough Neighbors are pretty down to earth as well as the staff Pay rent online-make sure you set it up with them first before the day that its due Rent is due between the 1st and 5th Grounds are beautifully kept! (I've looked at some places when the grounds kind of smell, NOT THIS PLACE!!! there are fresh flowers as you walk down toward the office!!) You can count on unit being clean before you move in! Less than a mile away from Southcenter Mall, I-5, and 405 entrance, SOOO CONVENIENT!!! Less than 5 miles to Renton or entrance to 518 going to the airportor Burien Good neighborhood to run in DURING THE DAY.... I wouldn't risk it at night obviously being a female jogger, alone, at night, use some common sense! CONS: On a hill so this past winter was tricky getting up it Mold in the windows develops but take some bleach and clean it off, aint that difficult! I tried to break my lease back in October 2009 and they said it would not be possible. You would still be responsible for the total rent amount even if you didn't live there.... . . hmmm NOT HAPPY. so you need to try and find a roommate for your current picky roommate.... GOOD LUCK!!! My fiance isn't currently on the lease and doesn't speak very fluent english said that he was "living here" because he didn't know how to say he was "visiting here" in english. SOOO intern every time the maintenance man or landlady would see his car, they would rudely say "he can't live here!!!, he needs to be added to the lease!!" and they would tow his car if they saw it here again... If you have some friends of yours that like to couch surf, don't plan on that going down here. They will be on them like white on rice to sign the lease I didn't have this problem in my 2X2 apartment but I did in my 1X1. --Every time I would cook on the stove more than two burners on HIGH, the breaker would pop. Or when I had the overhead kitchen lights and 1 burner on HIGH, the breaker would pop. I've not told them about these problems and I know they will get fixed. I just figured if the breaker keeps popping like that it means there's something wrong with the wiring and they have to tear this place apart to figure out what the problem is, NOT WHILE I'M TRYING TO LIVE HERE.... For all of you researchers out there like me its apt 10. The smoke detectors yes they are proven to be useful, agreed. However I didn't sign up for an overly sensitive one, EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO COOOK, I'm not joking, the thing would FREAK OUT!!!! and when you're 5'4" you need a chair to reach it to pull it out of the ceiling, heres a tip just leave it out of the ceiling. It's still on and attached to all the wiring you can just reach it without pulling over a chair every time. Another situation came about when my roommate lost his job and I had to pay for his part of the rent (705 with late fees and all) the last month of our lease in the 2X2. Also he got a puppy that was intended for me as a birthday present, which he ended up keeping. just to let you know THEY DO NEED TO BE POTTY TRAINED!!! OTHERWISE you will end up paying for the carpet to be replaced $$$$985 BTW... CHA CHING!!!!! AGAIN I ended up paying for the 685.... so in total that is 1390 folks that I've still not received from my old roommate. There is a lesson here don't get a roommate if you can afford it. Otherwise if either one of you is unable to pay its going under both of your credit, which I think is completely unfair!!!! Can you say we need some laws changed about that!!!! _________________________________ So my overall day-to-day living experience was ok. I know the CONS section seems pretty lengthy but there isn't to many bad things about the apartments just unfortunate situations that I think could have been treated more fairly. As you can clearly conclude. Hope this give you an all around updated view about these apartments.
