Resident • 2011 - 2012
Affordable housing, when divided amongst two occupants.
Good location, if you need to travel south in the mornings via car. Bus stops are also no more than 1.2 blocks away.
Property manager is Crystal. She does her job. I don't know if she ever goes above and beyond her duties and responsibilities, but all my interactions with her have been courteous and professional.
As of March of 2012, Parking category is currently not adequate, but this due to the construction of a new apartment complex right next to Promenade @ the Park. This may also affect the Noise category as well, if someone needs to sleep during the daytime hours. The construction is out of the management's hands.
While I have witnessed some unsavory-looking types of people walking through the area, I have not heard or witnessed any crime. I have seen police squad cars stopping at other apartment complexes several times, but that doesn't seem to affect the Promenade @ the Park.
The unit I lived in needed only 1 maintenance call from me when I 1st moved in, and it was fixed with 48 hours (if I remember correctly it was less than 24). There was another incident that simply required me to modify my usage of electronic appliances.
Heating for the living area is not sufficient, and I ended up using a personal heater.
I never used the dishwasher more than once, since it failed to completely clean the dishes. Instead it's very handy as a dish rack.
Washer & dryer are the stacked, "hi-efficiency" kind. They're a little bit small, but seem to work. If you have a problem with closet space here, then you probably need to see a psychologist/psychiatrist, or just buy a house.
Neighbors seem quiet to me, however the child/children in the unit above tend to have stomping fits once every two or three nights or so.
I'd recommend renting from Promenade @ the Park, for families or singles.
