The Qualman is a neat old building, but unfortuantely nothing works or gets fixed around here. I have never before experienced such a poor response from management to fixing things when they are broken. We still have numerous plumbing issues and our electrical wiring seems to date back to when the building was built (scary). The condition of some parts of the building is appalling, yet has only gotten worse since I have lived here. When I moved in I figured the rent was OK because I was told all sorts of lies about how things were being improved. Add to that several huge rent increases and I think you can see that there are much better deals out there. The noise at nights from the parking lot used by the club Chop Suey is also ridiculous. expect to be awakened when the club closes by cars in the parking lot rattling your windows with their 200 watt car stereos. The only plus is the nice landscaping on the grounds, but this is done on a volunteer basis by one of the tenants and could end any time.
