When I signed my lease the management said the elevator would be fixed in time for me to move in. Not only was THAT untrue, but it wasn't even fixed in time for me to move out again! This means that I not only had to move my belongings up four flights of stairs, but then I got to do it again on the way down. I was offered 100$ total to compensate me for this inconvenience. The laundry room is creepy and the garage usually reeks of piss. The tenants have no respect for the property and have no problem leaving their trash lying around. It's certainly not worth what I paid in rent, and much nicer places are available in West Seattle for less. The two guys that manage this building seemed nice, but they had a terrible time communicating between each other. This meant that one of them promised me a break on my rent, but the other didn't know about it when I signed my lease. They made a lot of verbal agreements, which ultimately were not kept and ended up being a total mess when I moved out. Poor communication led to a misunderstanding at the time I ended my lease, and one of the managers told me that he would take care of it. Six months later I was served with a collection notice! This was the first I heard that there was a problem, was against my verbal agreement with the management, and there had been no attempt to get in contact with me beforehand even though they had my phone number. Really underhanded, duplicitous, and untrustworthy.
